Process Overview

We’ll perform 3 main steps to connect your motorized shades with Nexia:

1. Exclude. First, we’ll disconnect your shades and remotes so they no longer communicate with each other. This creates a blank slate for setting up your Nexia configuration.
2. Include. Next, we’ll add your shades and remotes to your Nexia home automation system so you can control them with the Nexia app.
3. Associate. Finally, we’ll associate your shades with your remotes again so that you can continue controlling your shades with their remotes.
