Exclude (disconnect) all your remotes, following the instructions in the video below.

Tip: Before you start excluding remotes and shades, you may want to label each shade and remote with masking tape. Labels can come in handy when it comes time to re-associate the shades and remotes. For example, you might label the shade on an east-facing window and its associated remote with “East Window.”
